Do you need your gas burner jet repaired or replaced?
Stove Doctor is here to help!
All gas cooking appliances such as ovens, stoves and cooktops will use gas burners to produce heat and come in different shapes and sizes. Each and every one of these burners will have a separate jet which is a nozzle intended to eject LPG or Natural Gas in a coherent stream into the burner.
A gas burner jet (also known as an injector or orifice) may need to be repaired as they often can become obstructed in cooking appliances by oil, dust and food scraps and also replaced if the appliance needs to be converted from LPG to Natural Gas.
Please note that LPG and Natural Gas appliances are not interchangeable as they operate at different pressures, and will require different size jets. Most appliance manufacturers will provide kits with new appliances and instructions required to convert from one gas to another, if the appliance is purchased new.
Appliance manufacturers must have allowed for the changeover in the original design, with the appliance being tested and certified to use both gas fuels.
Depending on the appliance, there may be other parts that require changing, in addition to the gas injectors such as the burners themselves, dampers, aeration sleeves and air baffles.
Product labelling must also be changed. Most manufacturers sell the parts required for conversions of their more recent certified models.
If you require your gas appliance jets cleaned or replaced please call our customer service team with the brand and model number of the appliance. The model number of the appliance is very important as each model will have different burners which will result in having different jets.
